Vegan Ice Cream Detox? Sign Me Up! Thanks, @ChalkboardMag!
File this one under only in California. I just discovered a new recipe for ice cream so jam packed with superfoods it’s considered a detox. Seriously.
According to The Chalkboard, which developed the recipe with holistic wellness coach Ashley Neese, there’s one simple reason this vegan ice cream is so good for you: chlorella.
“Chlorella is considered one of the most nutrient-rich foods on the planet. It is a single-cell freshwater algae that contains 10% chlorophyll and 50% protein, as well as complete amino acids and essential fatty acids, making it a “complete food” for humans.”
Apparently you can live off just chlorella and water, a theory that many Los Angeles actresses seem to be putting to the test. Like hemp, chlorella also contains high levels of essential fatty acids, as well as antioxidants and minerals–and it can give you a serious, caffeine-free boost.
Is there nothing this superfood can’t do? Check out the recipe at The Chalkboard!

I’d need a schedule to help me get this garbage HFCS outta my system. Tatse buds barely enjoy food anymore.
