Mommy Greenest Approved: Love for Humanity Organic Skincare
There are lots of brands that plant trees for every purchase. And although that’s a noble endeavor—it’s a fir joke, get it?—if my purchase can help people and the planet, I’m sold. That’s why I was so excited to discover Love for Humanity Organics, a new truly natural skincare line that gives a meal to a child for every product you buy. Want to try? Get 25% off and a chance to win some!
Love for Humanity Organics is a brand-new skincare line that gives a meal to a child for every product you buy. Get 25% off or win some! Created by Michelle Celeste, a former acne sufferer who healed her skin with natural skincare, Love for Humanity Organics features a pared-down line of three core products—augmented with a selection that addresses specific skin concerns—crafted with responsibly sourced, truly organic ingredients. Michelle’s mission is “beauty with purpose,” and to that end she partnered with the non-profit Feed the Children to address the problem of 16 million American children who today struggle with hunger.
The philanthropic angle is amazing, but the best part is that these products really work! Formulated for either normal to oily or normal to dry skin, Love for Humanity Organics offers a three-step system of cleanser, tone and serum—with all natural ingredients clearly listed on the labels.
The Fresh Foaming Cleanser works for every skin type and cleanses without stripping the skin of moisture; I love the foaming action and the lavender scent, which is said to reduce inflammation. The aloe-based Refreshing Toner includes rose geranium—If you’ve been reading MG for a while, you know that I’m obsessed with this essential oil—to soothe and minimize irritation. Oily skin like mine would complete the process with an application of Nourishing Face Cream, which is lightweight and non-greasy; while drier types would apply the oil-based Ultra Hydrating Serum, which includes helichrysum, said to support cell regeneration.
Go for the Love for Humanity Organics Three-Step System, and add dark-circle reducing Anti-Aging Eye Serum. Then try a spa treatment with their antioxidant rich Illuminating Grains—just add water, perfect for air travel—followed by an overnight Miracle Mask, chock full of ultra-hydrating cold-pressed coconut oil. Those six products will keep a child fed for two days.
Want to try? Now through 10.31.14 Love for Humanity Organics is offering Mommy Greenest readers 25% off with free shipping if you use “LFH25″ at checkout. AND we’re giving away a $74 Purely Powerful Travel Kit—featuring trial sizes of Cleanser, Toner, Face Cream and Eye Serum to one lucky reader, if you enter below!

I have so many favorites it’s difficult to pick just one, but I’m currently using and loving eminence. I adore their stone crop collection!

Mountain Rose Herbs has a facial oil and toner I really like, but I’m still searching for a cleanser (I have super sensitive skin which both dries out and breaks out easily, so it’s been quite a challenge).
Rachel Sarnoff
Have you tried only washing and toning at night, and just toning in the morning? That totally balanced my skin. I realized I was over cleansing. Give it a try, if you haven’t!
Christy
Thanks for the tip. It’s funny you mention it, for the last few weeks I have just toned in the morning, and my skin’s definitely better. My face still seems to give me some trouble if I wash it at night, maybe I’m using something too harsh and soap-like, or maybe I’m being impatient and it’ll take a little longer for my skin to get used to just one washing? Still playing around with it, but my skin’s much better than it was. 🙂
Rachel Sarnoff
Yes I think it’s something that we’re conditioned to do–wash morning and night–but for some of us it’s too much! Maybe try a more gentle cleanser? I really like the Love for Humanity one. Let me know how it goes!
Christy
Hi Rachel,
Just wanted to update you. My skin’s almost clear! I don’t tone everyday in the morning, but definitely the washing/toning/moisturizing at night works well. I’ve been using Mountain Rose Herbs rose facial cleanser and it seems to be gentle enough for me. Thanks for your help!
Rachel Sarnoff
Good news!! I have my teenaged son on the regimen as well, and it’s helped. Thanks for sharing Christy!!

ALBA BOTANICALS, if you have not tried it yet, its a must. Sulfate free products and all natural. You can find it in a whole foods, sprouts or pretty much any organic grocer.
Rachel Sarnoff
I will look for them, thanks Wendy!

I’ve only tried the “”Yes to” products and Burt’s Bees. I guess of the two, I like “Yes to” better, but am always interested in natural and organic products.
Rachel Sarnoff
Both great brands! I love that they are distributing so widely, you can get Burt’s EVERYWHERE. Thanks for sharing, Arline!

I really like the Desert Essences Gentle Nourishing Organic Cleanser, but feel it’s time to branch out to anti-aging stuff as I just turned 30! I was actually just checking out Love For Humanity products, so awesome this giveaway came along!
Rachel Sarnoff
I haven’t tried that one, will have to check them out! So glad you are looking at LFH, I really think they are amazing!

I like Bee Friendly Face & Eye Cream and also some of the products in the Natural Skin Shop line. I must confess I am fairly new to the Natural Skin Care ‘scene’ (so to speak) and I still use my Shiseido & Estee Lauder products, but I’m seriously looking for natural & organic products to apply on the outside of me. Just like what I’m trying to do for the inside of me if you know what I mean. I’m just ready to get clean & healthy & stay that way!
Rachel Sarnoff
Good for you Joyce! Small steps are great–they last! I think once you start using natural products it’s addicting because not only are they better for the planet, but they WORK BETTER, in my humble opinion 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
