Win Priscilla Woolworth’s LOLA Book!

priscilla woolworth's lola bookI remember when Priscilla Woolworth first told me about the LOLA: Lots of Love Always book that she was writing. Based on a series of hand-made books that she’d given both of her daughters when they’d gone away to college—and letters that she’d signed “lots of love always”—it was a guidebook to making sustainable and healthy life choices as they went out into the world. Full of graphic, recipes and remedies, LOLA provides real-world advice to everything from volunteering to how to write a thank-you note. At that time, my youngest was still in preschool and the idea of needing this kind of book seemed very far away. But now that we’re starting to look at colleges for my eldest, this truly magical book seems like a must-have for every young woman’s library. Want to win a copy? I’ve got two to give away!

Good question. I’d love to say something about time management, but I don’t think a lot of college freshman would find the time to read it! I can think of a lot of books I’d get a junior or senior regarding job hunting, networking, etc., but again, not the best for an incoming freshman. I think I would need to pore over the shelves at the bookstore before I had a “real” answer!

Very thoughtful, I agree! I got my son “Where You Go Is Not Who You’ll Be” for Christmas, and he loved it. Just starting the application process now. I’m saving LOLA for my daughter 🙂

  5. It may be cliche, but I’ll be giving my kiddo “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss. I’ve had every teacher since preschool write a note inside, so I’m hoping those good wishes and the book’s overall message will be inspiring!
